A virgo quest

After reading about the sign of Virgo and its energies I have decided to try to adapt some of its traits to my life as I am in need of them. One of the issues I have is with money and I think many of us these days has issues with money.  My problem is that I don't have a realistic perspective when it comes possession both material and immaterial I just don't have any respect or ownership.  I mean I know I have car, a home, a tv but really i don't take care of them I just use them and let them go.  I also run through my money like there is a never ending factory of money and it is so easy to do these days because of credit cards

I never realized how much money plays a part in my life for getting what I want immediately.  We live in a world of pleasure and immediate gratification.  Many times on my days off I go out and eat and spend about nine dollars and I realized that eating at home the cost comes down to about 70 cents.  So for what I spend eating out one time I can eat over ten times.

So as I drove around today I wanted to go to Cici's pizza, Golden Coral, McDonalds, Sizzler and a few other places but I said no and went to the grocerty store and bought some steak and came home and now I have food for the next few days and this was at the cost of eating out once.

I have also decided to put myself on an allowance of five dollars a week.  I'm not couting money i spend on groceires and gas but my five dollars is my free money.  So if I want to eat out I havve to wait for two weeks.

I was also ready to a camera bag this morning as I figured I could just put it on the credit card but I didn't.  If I want that bag then i have to wait six weeks as the bag costs theirty dollars.  I need to learn the value and costs of what I am spending.  There are other things that I waste like my time and not using thing that i have.  I am working on this as I am learning to treat my possessions as if they belonged to somebody else and this is a safe guard for me as since I don't have the permission to spend things that don't belong to me then I am better off not having these thng that I want but don't really need.

Virgo is also the sign about paying attention to the detail and that is something that I am dong more and more lately as many times I have my head in the clouds and pay my bills late and get charged a late fee.  This is something I have to keep track of.

Virgo is also into health I neglect mine but I am also getting into working out and stretching.

Virgo...the Magic of fairies and angels

Let’s face it. Nothing is good enough for Virgo. Fussy, fussy. Picky, picky. No one knows like a Virgo how hard it is to carve out a little piece of perfection in this world where everyone does things wrong. No wonder that Virgos fret and worry. And if Virgo is in conflict with other energies, amp up the fretting to obsessing. Amp up the worry to anxiety. Thank goodness Virgos (August 22 – September -22) have wings.
As Virgo matures, her wings lift her. She realizes that her job is to bring a piece of Heaven onto Earth and how hard—nearly impossible, she finds, –it is. She learns to compartmentalize and analyze and she learns to discriminate instead of criticize. She infuses her good judgment with compassion which she learns from her opposite sign, Pisces.
The purposes of the Virgo life are many. For one thing, the Virgin Goddess is in charge of the harvest where her gifts of efficiency and discrimination are of high priority. Crops must be picked at the right time, the wheat separated from the chaff. The work is so hard and long it is no wonder Virgo has gotten a bad reputation in modern times where pleasure and instant gratification are the goals. But someone has to do the hard work. It takes someone with wings.
Virgo is in charge of the health and hygiene of the physical body. Virgo rules the cells, the individual components of the body. All health caregivers are under the guidance of the pure and holy virgin goddess. Have you noticed the little wings on nurses?
Virgo is in charge of clean-up. Following that loud and wildly extravagant and creative Leo, someone has to rein matters in. The novel has to be edited. The chef must refine the seasonings. The garden must be weeded. The party mess has to be cleaned up. Who could be happy with this job but an angel?
And Virgo has a secret: work is really a gift. Work brings us into the present where time meets eternity. Work requires focus, pinning the punishing mind to something outside itself. Inner peace is the result. It was probably a Virgo who first said that the idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Without the focus of work, man suffers.
And Virgo has another secret: you can work or be sick. Hypochondria is a disease of the lazy or of those who fancy themselves too good or too special to work.
Mercury is the ruling planet of Virgo, but now the mental realm of the planet of communication is brought through the hands and fingers into the practical realm. Ideas are Gemini. Writing down ideas is Virgo. Early images of the Harvest Goddess show her with a quill in her hand.
The fingertips are ruled by Virgo. This is where we connect to the earth through sensory touch. And since the fingertips are filled with nerves and unusual sensitivity, handwork like knitting or beading are especially healing. Virgos themselves are also very sensitive and you can trust their judgment.
Because it is Virgo’s job to sort and assimilate, the virgin goddess also rules digestion, especially the small intestine where nutrients are sorted from waste.
Virgo is the second earth sign, assuring us that despite the spinster stereotype, the Virgin is sexy. Sophia Loren, for example, is a Virgo. The word virgin originally referred to a woman who was whole unto herself, a woman who doesn’t need a man for her identity, though she may and likely does enjoy his offerings of pleasure. The Vestal Virgins of ancient Greece initiated young men into the world of sexuality.
Please don’t criticize the Virgos in your life. It is so, so painful for them. They were born to mothers who nagged and criticized their fathers, according to astrologer Nancy Cohen. Being willing to overlook goes a long way here.

Virgo: Get Organized and Mobilized

Your biggest talents are masterminding organizations that would overwhelm anyone else and concentrating no matter what distractions come your way. Highly goal-oriented, few things will deter you from finishing what you've started--you are no quitter. Still, be sure the things you devote yourself to are worthy of your hard work. You may get so involved in detail that you miss the long view of things. Step back now and then and reassess your assumptions. See if you can delegate some of your work. This is often hard for Virgo to do, but you will free up lots of time, as well as off-load some daily pressure! Simply because you are able to stand a great deal of tension doesn't mean you ought to live with it!
When stress strikes, Virgo feels a need to be in control of their overall physical environment. You'll want to burrow inside yourself to brainstorm, weigh the options, and plot your course (Virgo is nothing if not analytical). A worrier sign like Cancer, Virgo can often chew on problems too long and too much. But, unlike Cancer who will rely on intuition, earth-sign Virgo prefers to rely on logic and practical solutions. You'll go to extreme lengths to be thorough, investing considerable time studying your problem, and leaving no stone unturned. Both Virgo and Gemini are ruled by Mercury, and therefore highly communicative and intelligent. Gemini will ask questions of people around them to get an empirical feel of the situation and to assemble their plan of action. Virgo prefers to rely on documented studies and facts. Virgo is more pragmatic than Gemini but less flexible.
While your nerves are on edge, you may want to stay indoors more, working on projects that need attending. Your very best course of action is to clean out the closets, files, and rid yourself of niggling old paperwork. It could be a beautiful day outside, and your friends and family will scream for you to leave the house, but you know better. Get the physical environment under control and you'll feel enormously better. Organizing is therapy of the highest order to you. Your environment (and the contents of your handbag too) is always an accurate reflection of your inner state of mind. Toss out old junk, outdated records and clothing, reorganize your possessions, get new boxes to store things. You need to feel productive, and you like being physical (lifting boxes, filing, reaching, and so forth) as you think. Just the picture of your organized living and working space makes you breathe easier!
The lower stomach (intestines) are ruled by Virgo and receive the most tension when you are anxious. Since your sign will find digestion difficult when under stress, eat lightly. Unlike Cancer who will crave childhood foods, you will want to eat more leafy green vegetables and fruits, and perhaps even decide to be a vegetarian, at least for a while. A diet light in fats, which are hard for your body to break down, would be best when you are tense.
Keep a journal, write your thoughts down on paper. Like Gemini, which is co-ruled by Mercury, you can use your distress to create a moving literary effort, whether it be a short story, novel, hard-hitting documentary, or a poem. Virgo is very precise and your sign produces excellent writers.
Using your hands (another part of the body your ruler Mercury rules) in a variety of hobbies will relax and soothe you. Sewing, sketching, piano playing, or anything else which uses your fine motor skills would be a restorative activity now. While you work, you'll be able to think more clearly.
Crossword or jigsaw puzzles might appeal to you too, since Virgo is a sign that enjoys mental challenges. Try board games such as Monopoly, Scruples (moral or ethical battles fascinate you), Scrabble or complex card games like bridge, poker, or pinochle, to distract you--never an easy task for diligent, conscientious Virgo! Finally, your sign rules small animals and most Virgos make loving pet owners. If you have a pet, play with them. This could be the time to adopt a new puppy or kitten.
As a Virgo, luckily you are the sole mutable sign of the four earth signs, and therefore the most adaptable, versatile and best able to weather change. Throw away your worry beads Virgo! Ditch that work-first attitude for now, and relax. Better days are in store!

Interpreting Pluto

Pluto is like an atomic bomb. There is great destruction with Pluto, and great pain. But after its devastation comes a chance for a new life purified from the past. Pluto brings us to True Power, which is only born out of integrity, honesty, and complete surrender to the One Will. From this place of deep peace and wholeness, we are one with Power itself. Pluto's job is to strip away from us all that is false and unreal. All lust, greed, seeking, desire, and need is purified in its fire, until we come to the non-dualistic realization that, in every moment, what is most important is not absent. Only from this place where we have no desire for any kind of gain or increase (which would affirm that we are in lack), can the Universe trust us with its Power. Pluto's not pretty, but then it really doesn't care what you think. Pluto sees the real you, which has nothing to do with the desires of your separate-self sense, and so it often puts you through great pain, lovingly, because it is trying to peel off from you the illusory covering of the ego. Pluto slowly brings one to the realization that nothing Real can ever be threatened.

the 12th House and Self-Undoing

12th house areas of influence include institutions, such as hospitals and jails and other "places of confinement," as well as the hidden side of life and secrets, handicaps, and worries. However, it also is the area of introspection, self-examination, our hardest battles and greatest triumphs. It is said to govern those things we must work out for and by ourselves

there are two forms of self-undoing behaviors; the positive, and the negative

If our attitude is positive, or when we know an inner truth, when it's time to end or "undo" an old part of our life, usually we don't have problems with doing what must be done. We can usually see clearly when it's time to "undo" an old aspect of our life and then we focus on doing what we have to do. When it's time for things to end, we end them, whether we like it or not. Our attitude can get in the way, but mostly it's about how much we're choosing to suffer or enjoy the journey

12th house negative are what most people have a hard time with. These kinds of "self-undoing behaviors" are the many unfortunate ways we have of messing up something that doesn't need messing up, and often bring sorrow, doubt, confusion, or regrets.

Some examples of these kinds of self-undoing behaviors are when you do things that jam your own gears, or turn out to have unintended negative consequences. They are the things we do unconsciously, or consciously without understanding the implications of what we're doing, or are doing something we don't need to be doing, and probably shouldn't be doing. It can involve working against your own best interests, self-betrayal, hypocrisy, or not listening to your conscience or your inner voice.

It can range from hesitancy when boldness is needed to rash behavior putting things at risk needlessly. It can be moodiness when you should be celebrating, or reverting to old behaviors that cannot possibly have a favorable outcome at present. It may be trying to achieve something using the wrong tools and not realizing it until after the fact, or trusting something or someone that should not have been trusted to begin with. It could be treating something cheaply that should be held as precious, or the verbal slip that destroys social bonds that didn't need to be broken, or thoughtless ways of dealing with something or someone important to us.

Usually, self-undoing behaviors are associated with regrets. They are a good signal that a 12th house activity is happening in your life. And to be fair, just as there are regrets for things we didn't do right, it is also natural for there to be regrets at the end of every cycle, for all the potential that could have been but for whatever reasons never came to fruition. These types of regrets are very human, and shouldn't be taken as an inner signal to give yourself a hard time or start thinking you did something wrong.

It's all just reminding us to stay alert for appropriate endings as we move through the NOW, and be mindful so that we don't do what we shouldn't, or neglect to do what is in our best and highest interests. Since all we see, know, and live are vibrations, once we realize life is eternal flux we can move with the changes instead of resisting them or clinging to obsolete ways of doing our Being.

Planets in this house also can help you to learn lessons that free you from past destructive patterns. Unsuccessfully navigate it, and your self-image will be blurry. You may self-destruct through alcohol, drugs, or the wrong people or seem to have chronic “bad luck.”

Now we have reached the 12th house, we are almost back where we began. We have already considered the 12th house as our experience of being in the womb and, as with all water houses, this house describes our psychic inheritance and any unfinished business we have inherited from our parents and ancestors. The 12th house does not belong to time-space 'reality', because it has no boundaries. It is the house where everything happens all the time, and where everything is connected. There is no place here for the ego, which can only function in time, and so it describes that part of ourselves which never fully incarnates or engages with the world - the place where our dreams and fantasies hold sway, where visions, hopes and fears inspire, support or paralyse our lives. It is our bolt-hole, the place we escape to, whether psychically, emotionally or physically, just to be alone and to heal ourselves. In the 12th house we can experience a feeling of universal support, guidance and inspiration, which can in turn help us to inspire and support others. Alternatively, this can be where we are our own worst enemies, refusing to engage with the world, overwhelmed by the 'going home project', seeking oblivion, dissolving ourselves in addictive or other kinds of self-destructive behaviour.
People with a 12th house emphasis need time by themselves because they are like psychic sponges, absorbing everything which is going on in the environment around them, which can be overwhelming. The 12th house is where we merge, escape from our separateness and identify with that which is greater than ourselves - it describes our memories of life before birth and our feelings about life after death. It is the desire to retreat or to escape from the hard edges of the world; it is the pull of the monastic life, a life of contemplation and communion with the divine. It is the house where we replenish and heal ourselves in order to gain enough strength for our next venture into the real world. The 12th house is also the house of institutions, hospitals, prisons, monasteries, nunneries and retreats, all of which are containers which protect us from the world. It describes our relationship to such institutions.

earthy-watery-fiery-airy approach of the energies of the 12th

the 12th shows the nature of the retreat from the world that would best serve us for contemplating what it is that we’re handling in a self-sabotaging manner.

Maybe part of the self-defeat starts in not managing that element well, and so part of the antidote is giving yourself positive experiences of that element.

If  it’s a water sign on the 12th cusp or the 12th house planets, then buried emotions need to be brought to the surface and sorted out in order for the self-sabotage to stop. For me, being a 12th house water sign, nothing settles me out like a good, long swim. Staring at the ocean and listening to its roar for hours is another solace.

For people with earth signs on the 12th, not being present in the body and not handling material concerns may cause grief.  Perhaps a day in the woods, raising houseplants, using crystals, kneading bread dough, or tactile arts like pottery or weaving would help put them back in touch. I won’t do all four elements, but perhaps this is enough to give you the idea.

VIRGO in twelfth house

With VIRGO in charge of your twelfth house,

you may well be inclined to limit and retard your ability to organize things, and to keep your life and affairs in proper order.

You may have too much of a tendency to overlook important details that really matter in the ultimate outcome of things.

Avoid running your life in such a way that others may regard you as being careless, disorganized, or even sloppy.

Work on developing your ability to make and execute plans, as little real success is likely to happen totally by accident. You will sooner or later need to realize that the "skyscrapers" of life are put together bit-by-bit and that the smaller details must be attended to rather religiously.

Strive to uncork your organizational abilities and consequently to allow these important and powerful "genies" to work their magic for you.

 Virgo
The typical Virgo personality traits include perfectionism. Everything around him has to be just perfect. He is one of those who prefer carrying the exact amount of change for the bread, rather than asking the shopkeeper for a change. He is not much of a party bird, because he basically dislikes crowd.

Virgos live in the real world. They neither daydream, nor wish on stars. One look at them and you will feel that they are overburdened with some worries. However, worrying symbolizes their characteristic profile. Infact, Virgo seems to be on the lookout for it. A Virgo is very conscious of his looks and he will spend hours in front of the mirror getting the crease on his trousers just right. Everything about him has to be perfect, right from the clothes to the perfume. Virgos have this peculiar habit of taking on more work that they can easily manage.

Then, they strain themselves beyond limits, often leading to frayed nerves. They may look pretty cool on the outside, but inside, they will be extremely anxious. One thing you can be sure of while dealing with a Virgo, he is totally dependable and sincere. He may lie once in a while, especially when he doesn't want to go somewhere or do something. However, the lie will be totally harmless. A Virgo is highly critical of the people around him. Everything related to him, including his lover, has to go through his forever-analyzing eyes.

He is finicky about cleanliness, cannot tolerate lazy behavior, hates procrastination and is never blind to flaws and faults, even of his loved ones. He is also quite particular about each and every detail. However, that does not mean Virgos do not have a humorous side. It's just that as they hate impropriety, they also cannot tolerate sloppiness. If such things do some across them, they become irritable and snappy. However, composure, patience, caring attitude and endurance define their true personality.

He may criticize you for your faults, but if you are in trouble, he will be the first person to help you fix up everything. Don't mention a Virgo's overly critical attitude in front of him; he will be the first one to deny it. He also seems to be totally blind to his own faults. Virgos have this habit of not being able to sit at the same place for too long and turning restless easily. If you are in love with a Virgo, remember that Virgos express their love with subtleness.

As much as a Virgo likes to help others, he finds it very difficult to accept favors. He likes to be self-dependent and hates to take obligations. He won't spend too much money on himself, but will be extravagant in case of his loved ones or for those who are in need.

In such a case, don't waste the money or he will be hurt. As far a Virgo's critical nature is concerned, remember that it's just his nature. He was just born to notice even the slightest of faults. Infact, A Virgo is the most critical about himself. At the same time, he is very punctual and will not take lateness too lightly. To him, time is of extreme importance.

Pluto was in Libra from 1971 to 1983

Pluto was in Libra from 1971 to 1983, which indicates that the collective corruption and decay which is ready to be brought to the surface, purged and eliminated will concern issues of equality, fairness, justice and trust. The Watergate affair of 1972 and 1973 in the US is one example. We could say that, until this time, it was collectively assumed that people in positions of power would behave in a generally ethical, legal and honourable way, and that the legal system could be more or less trusted to deliver justice. Now that Pluto has been through Libra, I think we are all much more aware of the corruption which exists under the surface in big organizations. But at the time, the Watergate affair was particularly shocking because on a collective level we still expected people in positions of authority and responsibility to behave ethically.

On a personal level, the burning ground for this generation will hinge around issues of trust and personal responsibility in relationships, which are likely to go through periods of breakdown and re-creation as those with Pluto in Libra struggle to find more honest, balanced and integrated ways to manage their relationships. This is very different indeed to the Neptune in Libra generation born between 1942 and 1956. This was a generation whose collective dream and longing was for peace, love and harmony. This was the hippy generation which idealized relationships and believed, in the immortal words of John Lennon, that 'All you need is love.'

1971-1984 (Generation X)

Pluto in Libra may be a bit compulsive. They want to understand the world around them, but they may act before thinking. They really want to appear as if they

are in control. They work very diligently at making all of their relationships work. This is their way of transforming themselves and others. Some may be unconventional, while others are very traditional in how they view these relationships.

Libra Pluto loves art and they respond best to the art that makes a strong impression on the viewer. Fairness and justice is very important to them, and they may help reform laws to make things more equitable. They are fairly diplomatic, but may get very angry when they see injustice. Ultimately they wish to create harmony. Fighting and discord cause them pain. They are able to dive right in to a situation, however and wade through all the unpleasantness to create that peace.

Pluto in Libra has the gift of compromise. They can find a middle ground in almost any issue. That issue where there is no middle ground and one side will definitely lose is the hardest situation for Libra Pluto to deal with. They may become immobilized and do nothing.

Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Ben Affleck, Drew Barrymore and Monica Lewinsky all have the Libra Pluto Sign.

Pluto in Libra Pluto in Libra: gave us a generation (1972 to 1984) that will be obsessed with art. When they grow older and move into positions of power, look for an increase in the art market. They will also be obsessed with fairness, justice, and partnership. Look for the institution of marriage to make a brief comeback, and for a push to reform the legal codes.

PLUTO IN LIBRA
(1971/72-1983/84)

Libra is the sign of peace and harmony, and early in Pluto's journey through Libra the agonizing war in Vietnam finally came to an end. On a larger scale, two enormous hostile world powers, the United States and the People's Republic of China, moved toward peace and a new rapprochement in their relationship. Pluto-in-Libra also indicates a deep concern for law and balancing injustice. The era of Watergate, with its shocking revelations of corruption, ended by bringing new order to government and restoring the balance of powers between the executive branch and Congress. A consequence was the adoption of the Freedom of Information Act. Libra emphasizes egalitarianism and equality, and Pluto's transit saw the passage of equal opportunity laws, support for the Equal Rights Amendment, and greater equality for homosexuals. Libra also signifies a love for luxury, and the early 1980's ushered in a period of opulence and ostentation. When Pluto is in Libra, the planet's personal influence promotes a deep need to seek harmony and cooperation. Its negative side brings unforeseen problems and disruption in close relationships.

Pluto spent time in Libra for most of the 70’s and into the early 80’s. If you were born during that time, your Natal Chart probably shows Pluto in Libra. If so, then being in relationships (Libra) brings you opportunities for deep, personal and often dramatic transformations (Pluto). With this placement, learning how you relate with others, learning how different people relate differently with you, and what it takes to support a win/win approach to a relationship brings intense changes to your psyche. Pluto represents powerful changes that transform the way we live and Libra is about living in harmony with each other.
What an adventure!

Pluto in 12th house

Pluto

With Pluto in the 12th House consciousness is opening up to a power which can 'will into being'. Pluto in H12 has access to the Creator’s power and the purposes to which he will use it will reflect his level of development: he can manifest what he lusts after or he can will into being what he knows to be of benefit to mankind. For whatever he brings into being he will be held directly responsible.

A person with this placement of Pluto frequently knows much cruelty and abuse in childhood, be it of a physical, emotional or mental kind, and the perpetrators are usually the parents or guardians who have power over the child by virtue of their custodial role. From them the child has little opportunity to escape at the physical level and in order to get away he forces open a shutter in the mind which gives him access to enormous psychic power.

It is the law of the 12th House that for what is denied at the physical level is compensated at the immaterial.

The power of a person with Pluto in H12 is most readily evidenced by their often unconscious use of what has become known in New Age circles as Creative Visualisation: if he can hold an image or picture oh an outcome and give it his emotional energy he can bring it into being.

When used consciously, Pluto in H12 gives a person great charisma and the ability to make others into the agents of the outworking of his will. The responsibilities of this are enormous and the karma incurred through the use of the power conferred by Pluto in H12 is unlikely to be burned off in the course of a single lifetime. A person with this placement, if he is to work consciously with his powers, needs to be able to recognize and resist the voice of his desire nature.

You feel a need to search for truth and wisdom so that you can
understand life. Perhaps life has enslaved you in some way and you
are searching for transformation or regeneration. Occasional
upheavals in your life come about in order to bring you back to the
correct path. There is a desire to retreat from society in order to
re-analyze your life. You can become a champion of the downtrodden
masses. Serving others in this life may be important for you. You
enjoy working behind the scenes.

Uranus In The Twelfth House

Uranus (to deviate) in the House of Ends

As a result of your unconventional lifestyle you may have many things that you wish to keep secret. You tend, also, to hide your originality or some eccentricity. You may have been carefree and independent as a young person, but now you are concerned about your reputation and being conventional, at least a bit. You analytical mind is very useful in terms of dealing with hidden matters. A worker on confidential matters, a secret scientist - these and others are possibilities. You may be an unconventional healer. You could be rebelling against large institutions such as prisons, hospitals and places of seclusion. There could be hidden enemies who use strange, occult or new techniques. You may be the effect of dramatic changes in institutions, which may bring good or ill.

When Uranus is posited in the Twelfth House it implies periods of unexpected and sudden conditions of enmity. It intensifies the liability towards accidents. It also indicates that the native may be held responsible, unfairly, for accidents involving injury to others.

This position of Uranus suggests the formation of secret attachments. These are often associated with elopements and a secret marriage. These affairs usually come to the surface at a later date.

This is a favorable position for those who are inclined to act from occult or psychic motives, in which case it favors the mysterious and romantic.

You tend to be highly intuitive and secretive, with humanitarian
ideals. You may have feelings of loneliness. There may be nervous
difficulties. There is interest in metaphysical subjects. You may
have unique psychic experiences which you keep to yourself for fear of
being ridiculed. You have a tremendous desire to feel free and a
constant questioning of the meaning of life and of the imperfections
you see around you. Unresolved difficulties in your subconscious mind
need to be brought out and disposed of. You have a tendency to feel
that something is going to "get" you, to sneak up on you, if you are
not careful. It is as though you always have a sense of impending
doom. You need to overcome this apprehension. Self-control must be

Sorrow and sin or segregation and impediments that a person incurs along with poverty and misfortune are classed under the influence of the twelfth house. The person may also face aspects of persecution, imprisonment and intrigue. The house governs the secret toil of the mind and other unfortunate matters. It relates to fear, anxiety, inferiority complex, misgivings, suspicion and others. This is the house of solitude, secrets, silent sufferings and undoing of the self.

Uranus influences the success of the native through occult affairs and through the invention of chemical processes that remain a secret in spite of being promoted by the planet. Affliction of Uranus indicates danger from the animals, accidents, troubles and disgrace from psychic or occult sources. On may also face sudden or strange enmities. The person will be irritated by the underhand actions of eccentric people.

Uranus in the 12th house of your chart stimulates the urge to understand yourself and your own unconscious motivations. The unconscious contains many repressed and forgotten experiences, particularly painful experiences as a child tend to be pushed into the unconscious, the energy of these experiences does not go away, but leaks out in other forms. You may find yourself unconsciously setting yourself up in situations where you have to re-live the pain that you have repressed in yourself. Without knowing the real source of these situations, it is all too easy to blame other people. Bringing these buried experiences to consciousness, and fully acknowledging the hurt that you feel, will release a lot of energy that can be consciously directed to more creative ends

The Twelfth House

House of Subconscious

The Twelfth House is commonly referred to as the House of the Unconscious. The unconscious state can help engender our successes, as well as assist us in coping with our failures. Success vs. failure: do we consciously confront our lives or subconsciously sweep things under the proverbial rug? This house might more aptly be called the House of Reckoning, since it is in the Twelfth that we review what we have been (and done) and decide where we go from there. Along with these unconscious musings, we also deliberate on strengths and weaknesses that are hidden from public view.

Our subconscious works hard on our behalf, trying to make sense of our lives. This shadow play is slow and long, and often fraught with fear and pain. It is in this context that we are confronted with our sorrows, suffering and the secrets we keep from ourselves and from others. Ultimately, we are also confronted with our fate: karma. Here we meet up with the results of everything we have done. This further puts the focus on repressed agendas and restraint. What have we wrought with in our lives? This is a key question of the Twelfth House, and we will deal with it both consciously and unconsciously. Will the answers compel us to be transformed or reborn? This is another cornerstone of the Twelfth House -- the manner in which we move forward.

We can learn much from the unconscious. In its most noble manifestation, we will be prompted to be charitable. If we learn our lessons, both past and present, we are also better equipped to move forward. The Twelfth House compels us to seek closure in a spiritual way as an aid to positive growth.

The last house of the zodiac also recognizes that we can feel bound in life -- stuck and confined. For this reason, this house rules jails, hospitals, institutions, asylums and any space that inhibits freedom. More gloominess in the Twelfth comes in the form of danger, secret enemies and clandestine affairs. Beware!

While some may decry the Twelfth House as the garbage bin of the zodiac, it's really an unfair term. Ultimately, this house is the champion of positive transformations. It is here that we stand on the precipice and determine how we will proceed. By visiting the unconscious and meeting with the past, we begin to glean what the future will bring.

The Twelfth House is ruled by Pisces and the planets Jupiter and Neptune.

The 12th house is one of the most fascinating astrological houses, because what we find connected with it often solves a mystery. Below is a discussion of some of the major traditional meanings of the 12th house:

Self-Sabotage, Secret Enemies, and Witches

These are the enemies who hurt us by clandestine means. Such a person might spread rumors or mail anonymous letters in order to harm us. For example, some of the classical astrology writers had many examples of horoscope so famous people who met a bad end because their 12th house was afflicted and their secret enemies eventually got executed or whatever.

Similarly, a witch would naturally also harm others via clandestine means, and we examine this house carefully when answering the question: “Am I bewitched?”

However, neither of these bad characters are as harmful as we ourselves. The 12th house is where we undercut our otherwise positive efforts. These are the strange compulsions that keep on surfacing, and that span the range between overeating and depression. Which of these actually manifest depends on the connection to other houses, and upon the person’s overall tendencies and temperament. For example, a very watery, phlegmatic type with a series of 12th house afflictions, especially in the water signs, might feel compelled to take to drink, or other drug abuse.

This is the house of delusions and psychic trouble beyond our awareness. It's called the house of self-undoing. Only time and persistent reflection unlocks the mysteries behind the many doors of the interior mind-spirit. It's the house of the universal imagination, and the secret doorway to spirit, the one that lies within the heart. That makes it both daunting, but a potentially rich source of creative material, as well as the path to rising above the personal, to experience something beyond.

There is darkness and light in the vast landscape of the collective heart. Along the more disturbed end of the spectrum is our capacity for mental illness, criminal acts, secret obsessions. This house has always been associated with institutions like prisons and mental hospitals. It's a place where those doing extreme things are confined, and where we confine the extremes within our own psyche.

This house is where we lock up our secrets, and repress aspects of the Self. Sometimes that emerges in relationships, when we're drawn to those that act out our demons for us, giving life to something that is trapped within. In drama, the villain plays an aspect of ourselves we dare not claim, but lies as a potential in the vast landscape of the imagination. Over time, the shadows of the twelfth house are recognized and accepted, and even seen as a catalyst for building character and learning to walk through the dark.

Pluto in Astrology?:

In the birth chart, Pluto shows the area of life where you'll personally face the intense powers of creation and destruction. It's the doorway through which volatile compressed pockets of self, spirit and primal energy lies hidden, which are released either by our own efforts or by provocation from the outside world.

Pluto's energy will not be suppressed but its power is often feared. This can put you in a showdown between your greatest fears of being destroyed, and the pursuit of the deepest longing in your heart. The Ego holds to its defenses, but Pluto tries to urge you to let go, and surrender to become a new person.

Pluto rules Scorpio with its province being death and rebirth. There's a Sufi saying, "Die many times before you die," and Pluto's lessons hold out promise of emerging from the flames a new person. When chaotic events shake us at the foundations, it could be Pluto provoking change at the fundamental level. We might not think we exist without the ground beneath us, our sense of who we are, but if we're brave, we come to discover there is life after this kind of ego-death.

Pluto also governs power itself, including struggles between people and countries for domination, and of course, personal power. It shows up when perfectly capable people end up under the thumb of someone else's control. Facing down the control and manipulation of others, especially parents, can make us weak in the knees. But once we do this, we are changed forever.

You can either be at the mercy of Pluto's provocation to change, or you can take matters into your own hands. It can be humbling to look soberly at the area of life in which you feel powerless, worked over, dissed by the Universe -- but by doing this, you can try to understand and alter your own reactions. You still might be brought to your knees, but while there you'll rest assured that Pluto's dark and punishing face is that of a tough, but loving teacher, leading you toward a more authentic experience of yourself.

Pluto, God of the Underworld, is the ruler of Scorpio. (In Greek mythology, the corresponding god was Hades). In Astrology, the energies of Pluto are transforming. Pluto represents subconscious forces, ruling all that is "below the surface".

On the up side, Pluto is associated with renewal and rebirth. It represents endings and new beginnings, as well as spiritual growth and rebirth. Negative expression of Pluto is an obsessive desire for power and control and general destructiveness.

In the chart, the position of Pluto by sign will be shared with other people in the same generation due to the comparatively slow movement of Pluto, the outermost planet, in the heavens. By house, the position of Pluto shows where individuals search for truths and deeper meaning. This area of life may be associated with change, upheaval, power struggles, and issues of control. Pluto in aspect to other planets in the chart colors those energies with obsessive qualities, power struggles, the need to find deeper meanings, and willingness to explore and examine. Where we find Pluto in the chart is where we either seek change and transformation, or have it thrust upon us if we refuse to accept our deepest needs. If we fear Pluto's energies, or our "dark" side, destructiveness (both directed at ourselves or others) is a byproduct.

*You have a deep interest in secrets, the underworld or unconscious, and anything hidden and mysterious. Psychoanalysis, investigating your dreams, and other methods of uncovering secrets are very interesting to you. You may be exceptionally perceptive intuitively or psychically. Your emotions and subconscious energies are complex, and periodic transformations and personal crises are sprinkled liberally throughout your lifetime.

#Death has played a large part in creating doubt about your abilities. Use private time to examine your present knowledge and skills, and you may find that confidence replaces doubt. You need the quiet moments to build your power.

^Since you have Pluto in your 12th House you may be tempted to repress your emotions, particularly those which have to do with those deep needs which spring from the shadowy side of yourself. You may even have problems with depression or addictive behaviors which create a kind of emotional trap until you learn to delve into the depths of your being and clean out the ghosts and dragons from your past which still haunt your dreams. Old resentments can also act like a potion which poisons your imagination and undermines your ability to trust your inner self. Once you've conquered your own demons, you may feel driven to help others confront their own, and can become an extremely effective healer.

For all that Pluto (re)creates (it also governs the reproductive system), it loves to destroy. This planet rules destruction, death, obsession, kidnapping, coercion, viruses and waste. That's definitely not pretty. Pluto also governs crime and the underworld, along with many forms of subversive activity (terrorism, dictatorships). This planet is about all that is secret and undercover, that which is hidden from view. Is this the story of good vs. evil? Yes.

No one will deny Pluto's power (it rules atomic power, too) and intensity. This planet's energy is often focused on the masses and what the collective will do. Pluto beseeches the masses to look inward (and to their subconscious) to see what's there. It may be scary, but Pluto doesn't care. This planet knows how to push buttons.

It takes Pluto approximately 248 years to complete its orbit around the zodiac. Due to the eccentricity of its orbit, it takes this planet between 12 and 31 years to pass through a sign. It rules Scorpio and the Eighth House. Pluto is the last of the transcendental planets and is the higher octave of Mars.

12th house....the hidden truth

Chin had two sons. He gave all his attention to his first-born, Fu, the promised heir to the throne. Overlooked, the second-born Hu remained ignorant, silly and petulant, in effect never quite growing up. But when Chin died, wicked insiders prevented Fu from taking power and Hu was installed as a puppet leader. An empire that should have lasted a few hundred years died virtually overnight. If planets in the 12th were children, they’d be reared much like the neglected son Hu. Without our conscious attention, they’re neither tested nor trained. They don’t get the same opportunities to grow and mature. Yet in moments of unconsciousness, they will take over, and can cause plenty of damage.

Our 12th house planets and signs are like children with special needs. They’ve suffered a critical deprivation. In some way our early environment didn’t encourage or support their expression. They may be usurped, denied or shamed by our caretakers. Somehow we got the message they're unsafe to express. With Mars or Aries in the 12th, I may fear the expression of my competitive drive or deny my selfishness. With Pluto or Scorpio, I may be too embarrassed to reveal my passion, my sexuality, my power. With Mercury or Gemini in the 12th, I may decide to keep my mouth shut. With Uranus or Aquarius in the 12th, I'll cover up what makes me different, and keep my creative genius under wraps. With Venus there, or Taurus or Libra, I won’t know how beautiful, how sensuous, how artistic or loving I can be.

Paul is a writer and photographer with Neptune in his 12th. I described Neptune to him once, how it speaks through music, art, and poetry. Astrologers associate the 12th house with conception. I suggested that Neptune’s imprint may have been knowledge Paul gained in the womb. His eyes lit up. His mother had played the piano throughout her pregnancy, he said, and he always felt this had made a deep impression on him; his thoughts tend to move in musical patterns. An intensely private man, Paul has a Scorpio Sun squared by a controlling Pluto/Saturn conjunction and, not surprisingly, he is known for bouts of intolerance and rigidity. As one might surmise from his chart, his father was strict. As a child Paul wasn’t allowed to drift and dream or float in Neptune’s sea; that was the early deprivation of this planet. As a young man Paul served in the military and later went to school for a business career. But in the past ten years I've watched him steadily withdraw from worldly concerns to submerge in the Neptunian world of his art. For the past two years he has been so deep in Neptune that he disappears for months at a time. Yet whenever I see him, he is intensely alive. More than anyone I know, Paul lives an artist's life, completely on artist's time. He will spend hours catching just the right light for a photograph. He will go days without sleep, living with the characters in his novel as though they were roommates. His 12th house Neptune has become the center of his life. It is the sunken treasure he has been working his whole life to retrieve. It is something truly divine.

When I look at an individual’s chart and see planets in the 12th, “doom” and “misery” aren’t the first words that come to my mind. I rather think that here lies a great gift, in fact, the true wealth of the chart. But it’s like a trust fund. The 12th house individual must come of age first, spiritual age. Ego might greedily appropriate the rest of the chart for its desires, but this house refuses to give up its goods so easily. There will be sacrifice; there will be immaturity, weakness, and whining; there will be a long journey requiring self-awareness, humility, and spiritual responsibility. However long it takes, the 12th house treasure will not disappear. Won perhaps over many lifetimes, it is deep and instinctive. The potential for a wide appreciation of its gifts is also huge.

I’m not alone in thinking this way. Michel Gauquelin, a psychologist who used statistical models to investigate astrology’s accuracy, discovered that while many astrology factors have no relevance, planets in the 12th house [3] did have a strong correlation with an individual’s career success. Mars in the 12th house was often found in the charts of sports figures. Actors, politicians, and journalists showed Jupiter in the 12th; scientists and doctors, Saturn or Mars; painters and musicians, Venus; and writers, the Moon. This finding surprised even astrologers, who typically locate career indicators in the 10th. Contemporary astrologer Maurice Fernandez makes even stronger claims for 12th house planets. [4] According to Fernandez, people who have positions of influence or fame will more often have an emphasized 12th house than a strong 10th. Since the 12th house rules both the collective unconscious and the masses, planets here indicate the potential to tune in to what’s popular and have an effect on a wide audience. They may also bear the burden of mass projection, sacrificing the personal life to become a product or symbol. Think of the different measures of fame the following 12th house Suns have achieved: Ghandi, Madonna, George Bush, and Rodney King.

The Sun in the 4th house

The Sun in the 4th house shows the development of roots which include family, heritage and ancestral background. It is important for those with this placement to have their own home which they can be proud. The Family background affects confidence and identity. The relationship with the father may be important and the solar light may be projected. Sometimes the individual is heavily influenced by his father’s wants and creative expression. The forth house describes the emotional undercurrents and hidden factors that shape our conscious personality.

The past has a powerful influence over the unfolding personality. Sun in 4th house can feel fulfilled through creating a home that gives them a sense of security and safety. The depths of their early feelings may need to be explored and they sometimes stay near the childhood home, maintaining early relationships. Some leave and emigrate from their early home to recreate their roots. The struggle and challenge for a 4th house Sun is individuating their own identify, separate from their family. Sometimes they work from home and spend most of their time there. There can be a strong need to shine as an individual in the family. Others are focused on their spiritual and inner development.

“The sense of a “me-in-here” provided by the I.C and the 4th house lends an inner unity to all thought, feelings, perceptions and actions. In the same way we are biologically self-maintaining and self- regulating, the IC and 4th house serve to maintain the individual characteristics of the self in stable form.” By Howard Sasportas

The fourth house Sun represents the inner centre and they may be very private introverted and subjective. Personal security lies at the core of the personality and deep family attachments occur though both positive and negative experiences. The need to establish strong foundations in the world and emotional stability are powerful factors in the destiny of the individual.

Julia Child is recognised as a chef and television personality, she had Sun in Leo in the 4th house. Julia’s father was an important man; he graduated from Princeton and was a Land Manager. Julia built a home with her husband near a Provence town. And they named it La Pitchoune, meaning “the little one”. Child’s own home was transformed into a television set.

Sun: If the lord of the 4th is the Sun or the Sun is in the 4th, and dignified or received, then family life is fortunate and is the center of your purpose in life. Your father probably ran the household when you were young. You may pride yourself in knowing your family history and you have a strong sense of where you belong. If fortune or the aquisition is also here you may become a landlord. If out of sect, then you prefer to keep your life private and tend to shy away from the limelight. If the Sun is in sect while lord of the 4th, then you will prefer the public life, sometimes feeling like your personal life is a little too exposed. If the Sun is in detriment or fall and/or afflicted by malefics, you may not know your father or you become estranged from him. You may have trouble benefiting from the father's estate or will. Often there is discord and power struggles on the domestic scene and the native may struggle with finding a place to belong, particularly if the birth was nocturnal.

All of this is most likely to be focused upon, and affected by, your home and background. So your roots are very significant in determining what you make of life. You can either get buried in them or use them as a base from which to launch yourself. If there are negative qualities in your early home life, this will dog your progress more than is usual, so it is not until the latter part of life that you begin to prosper.

Even then, this would entail your coming to terms with blocks created in childhood. Your father has a lot to do with all this, for his character has affected you in more ways than you possibly care to admit. Your career or reputation may well involve being the proprietor/owner of some form of establishment or foundation, or simply that you work at or from home. Whatever the case, making a deliberate effort to get away from the home and family scene occasionally is very therapeutic because you can become so bound up in it as to lose your sense of vitality and individuality.

You desire to build strong inner and outer foundations, but, at times,
you may have the wish to retreat from society when life becomes
difficult. The influence of either or both parents is strong for good
or otherwise. There is pride in the home and that is where you want
to shine and show your creativity. That is where you can be the real
you. You want to be king of your castle, but just don't be too
demanding at home. No one likes a dictator.

The house of the Sun represents where we are most able to "shine" and where we long to assert ourselves in some outstanding fashion. A fourth house Sun is traditional, sentimental, nurturing and very attached to home and family. We have a great need to center ourselves and to establish emotional security, often through the family or home environment. Therefore, we may be reluctant to leave our childhood home, and when we do we are likely to feel a strong need to marry or at least establish a home of our own. Sometimes we can be so protective of our home life that we become too authoritarian or too smothering. Since we are so traditional, we tend to view our self or family members as fulfilling a role instead of as individuals. However, if we avoid that we can create a wonderfully nurturing and supportive environment that functions as a strong foundation for our lives

Scorpio in the 2nd House

Scorpio in the 2nd House indicates that the native has the potential to work long and hard for his income. He has natural patience and his efforts are invariably rewarded whether he works for himself or others. The native will always need to watch his expenditures for even though he is not personally extravagant, he has a tendency to over spend on equipment and machinery for business purposes. Forethought should be paramount in speculation and undue risks should not be taken.

The native's concentration is on money and resources and how to take them. Under the pattern of the Scorpio/Pluto configuration some means of force may be necessary in order for the native to get what he/she considers should be his/her. On the other hand, despite the native's natural inherent possessiveness, with Pluto ruling the house of finances, there can be some major ups and downs in the native's financial life.

These people are resourceful and energetic in their means of making money. They have the ability to transform worthless materials into something of real value. They spend the money earned from their inventiveness and ingenuity at a rapid rate. Nevertheless, they are more concerned that their possessions have aesthetic than monetary value. Their partners often provide the money for elegant objects to satisfy their taste. However, they are ready to share these possessions with their partners, as well as their friends.

The Second House your money and possessions, the things that you value, including your sense of self worth.

The Second House shows the state of your money and possessions, the things that you value, including your sense of self worth.

SECOND HOUSE: This is the House of
RESOURCES and VALUES...
what your personal resources are:
your talents, your inner strength and determination,
your personal possessions & wealth & income,
your tools & mentors & advisors & supporters;
what your personal values are:
your ethics, your morals, your integrity, your priorities, what you "value", what is "valuable" to you;
what you "stand for";
what influences your choices in life, what guides your conscious actions.

The 2nd rules both what money can buy (possessions and material resources) and what it can't buy (talents, self-esteem, and values).

Your 2nd house ground must be worked. You have to transform what you find there. As an infant, this house was a veritable Garden of Eden. Everything you needed—toes, food, and teddy bears--was magically supplied. Yet as you grew, you learned that gardens must be maintained. Vines need pruning, fruit trees must be planted, flowers have to be fertilized. Earth is a paradise, but it's also full of reality. Pests can destroy your garden, predators can steal your crops. If you don't learn how to increase your garden's yield, your needs won't be met, your desires can't be satisfied. If you wait for manna to drop from the heavens, you'll starve.

In other words, you have to get real in this house. You must learn how to use, protect, and manage its resources, or you'll suffer a fall from grace. Anyone who has a problem with money is just plain naive about that.

riting about the 2nd house, Dane Rudhyar makes an important point: We must transform this territory to suit our individual purpose and destiny. (3) If we don't, we're merely servants of the past, agents of ghosts, our lives being lived by our ancestors. Possessions must be used, says Rudhyar. This means impressing them with the rhythm of our individuality--—whether that's material possessions, our natural gifts, or the money we spend. We need to lead in the 2nd house and give its holdings a personal significance (which is how the 2nd truly supports the 1st). Rudhyar advises we dedicate what we have to who we are, for it's being that gives meaning to having. “Nothing is more futile and spiritually empty than having without being, and this is true of all kinds of possessing.” (4)

Using our possessions, including material goods, to maximum advantage is also within the realm of the Second House. Our possessions should enhance our lives and those of others, and foster a general sense of well-being. This brings forth the concept of value, which is key to the Second House. What do we value, both tangibly and intangibly? Why do we value it? Who do we value? What do we really own? What do we want to own? Why? Our effective resolution of these questions is a large part of what the Second House is all about.

Specific possessions covered by the Second House include earned income and our ability to influence it, investments and moveable property (cars, clothing, jewelry and the like). Debt is also part of the equation here, since we own the responsibility to pay our bills. How we view money, the acquisition of wealth (and debt), financial reversals, savings, budgeting and financial status are all ruled by the Second House.

The 2nd house is often described as the house of talents and resources, and planets in the 2nd symbolize those natural gifts which, welded into concrete forms, provide one with a living at the same time as a sense of personal value. Neptune in the 2nd can manage this as well as any other planet, while retaining its necessary contact with the oceanic realm; one does not have remain poor to do it. Neptune speaks to the redemptive longing in all of us. Translated into form, Neptune in the 2nd can reflect a capacity to develop self-worth and material independence through the practical expression of the imagination and the sense of unity with life. The creative capacities of the Hindu goddess Maya - the shaping of “stuff” into forms of beauty - are often innate with Neptune in the 2nd. The eroticism and sensitivity of Neptune may find its way into such talents as music and dance, and Neptune’s idealism may be best expressed through work which betters the lives of others. But the Venusian earth of personal value must be weighed against Neptune’s global vision; otherwise one remains a gifted baby in need of a caretaker, and willing caretakers may be in short supply. The discipline of Saturn is also essential to balance a 2nd house Neptune. How can a musician make music, if he or she can not be bothered to learn the notes, the scales, arpeggios, and the development of an individual style?

Neptune in the Second House:

When Neptune is in the second house it means that it will be extremely difficult for the native to reach a comfortable relationship with material possessions. Since Neptune dissipates and dissolves, its effect on this material house of supply is generally unsatisfactory. At best, earnings should come from Neptunian pursuits where the image is sold for the real. This includes movies, film making, television and all such expressions where images or masks are employed for effect. In any case, the native must make an effort to develop a realistic attitude about money and do not put off the issue.

Neptune in the Second House: The most frequent statement made by those with Neptune here is "Where are my life savings? I left them here a moment ago". Wherever Neptune is in our horoscope is the place where we don’t want to look at reality but would rather dream. Treat your money and possessions as if they belonged to someone else. Then you will take better care of them. With Neptune here, there is sometimes guilt associated with money. There can be a tendency to avoid it because money is thought to be "dirty" in some way, or the person feels that they don’t deserve to be rich. Ironically, some with Neptune in the second house can conceive of large scale financial schemes. Neptune is, after all, the planet of imagination. Money can come from medicine and social work (taking care of the poor and the sick), from film or dance (the artistic and imaginative side), or from bartending (Neptune rules alcohol). Drugs come under Neptune as well. If you like that area, better make it a legal drug or chemical company, otherwise you’ll land in another Neptune-ruled place. Prison.

Neptune (to refine) in the House of Possessions

You may prefer to dream of grand schemes rather than to act in reality. You may have a view that money is bad, or you do not deserve it. You should avoid being too charitable and realise that you, yourself, are also a person worthy of a good life. You could make money from caring for the sick, or from film, dance, photography, or music. You may be involved with alcohol, drugs (but ensure the drugs are a legal business) or chemicals. Often you demonstrate an uncanny ability to overcome financial problems, even when they seem insoluble.

Neptune in the 2nd house is generally associated with financial difficulties. Many individuals with this placement chronically struggle with the simplest material demands. They are often creatively gifted yet somehow unable to “make ends meet,” or lose what they have earned though a kind of blindness or disregard for managing the money they earn. But money problems are only a symptom of the Neptunian sea of feelings and longings that lies beneath. Neptune’s secret identification of victim with redeemer may underpin this pattern. A baby rightly assumes the availability of food and physical protection, for there is as yet no separate ego which can think in terms of “mine.” But when an adult unconsciously carries such an assumption, many material troubles may ensue. The compassion of Neptune may be equally in evidence in the 2nd house, for the sense of unity with others may impel the individual to give away everything if someone else is in greater need. And there is often a profound sense of empathy with those who truly cannot cope.

A 2nd house Neptune’s willingness to freely share resources and substance is both heartfelt generosity and at the same a complex enactment of the mother-child bond. If those with Neptune in the 2nd wish to make the most creative use of this challenging placement, the phrase, “I can’t help it,” might fruitfully be banned from speech, to be replaced by the more honest, “I won’t help it,” or, “I am afraid to help it.” Neptune in the 2nd may generate financial difficulties partly because the individual does not wish to have autonomy. Neptune longs to have the sins of materialism, sensuality, greed, and envy (all aspects of the darker face of Venus) expiated, so that the delights of Eden can be enjoyed without guilt. The individual with Neptune in the 2nd may speak of needing to work at something “meaningful” or “higher.” This is in many ways appropriate, for with Neptune placed here one’s most valuable resource is an instinctive sense of the oneness of life. Yet pursuit of a “higher” vocation often means that money is scarce; the “meaningful” thing may be un-saleable, or, more frequently, the person does not work very hard to put it into marketable form. And lurking beneath may be a Neptunian feeling of weakness and helplessness, and the deep-rooted belief that one does not deserve material comfort this side of the grave.

Neptune in the 2nd, badly in need of alliance with Venusian self-appreciation, may express itself as financial victimization and the pain of unlived or unrecognized talents. Yet the individual is often as unconsciously devouring as those whom he or she accuses of greed - Ti’amat manifesting in Taurus’ earth-world in the usual Neptunian hall-of-mirrors fashion.

Even if one earns one’s living through being a vicar or a psychic, the operative phrase with the 2nd house is earning one’s living. One cannot achieve this without recognizing that the Venusian realm of one’s body, one’s sensual pleasures, and one’s material needs is no less sacred than the cosmic sea which gave the body birth.

In the spotlight

In this day and age everyone seems to have a camera. The next step on people's minds is usually how can I make some money off of it. Cameras are cheap and used cameras are cheaper than a bargain.

I did some time in the fashion world photographing models for an agency going to fashion shows and all that stuff. It was really short as there really isn't an industry here in Orlando, Florida. Not a real one anyway, just a lot of people with a lot of time and ambition but this is not New York, Paris, and London. It never will be. Even Miami is not these other great fashion cities.

That being said, the fashion industry is just like every other creative industry that promises fame and fortune, the music industry, the movie industry, the writing industry, and the television industry. All these industries are filled with millions of people who all want to do it, be in it, and want to live it but very few actually have the talent and because of the way things are those few talented people are usually never seen or heard.

Back to photography...these days everyone want to have a photography business. I was no different. Sure I do some free lance work sometimes but nothing steady and surely nothing that is going to pay my bills and put food on the table. No all I have is hobby something to have fun with. It doesn't need to be anything else. I think we all want to be in the spotlight these days after spending all our lives watching tv and going to movies its ingrained in our culture we all want to be starts but there is only so many vacancies. Is Justin Beiber really the next Bruce Springstien. Is his work going to set the world on fire. No but he will make much dinero for him, his family, and all the corporations who use to sell sell sell. When his music career dries up he will hit the big screen if he isn't headed there already.

Why Having Stuff Can Never Make You Happy

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Danny_Gardner]Danny Gardner

This is a known fact and something that every single spiritual person has mentioned all over the world. And something that is experienced by those have delved into the world of materialism. The western world is very into the consumeristic lives. But this is becoming a bigger and bigger issue as more and more people all over the world are seeing that buying more things will not make you happy. The TV taught us that buying more and more is going to make you that much more happier but after food and shelter, people really do not need anything. Everything beyond food and shelter is a luxury and not something that is going to make you happy. But what TV taught has been ingrained into modern society which has resulted in more and more people being trapped into the world where they believe that buying that one item is going to make them happy. But you see its a never ending cycle. You end up buying so much crap that you just can't afford to maintain it. You then end up trapped in this wicked cycle Really it is true what they say. The stuff that you own ends up owning you.

Why is it that people believe that buying the one more item is going to finally make them happier? The reason and a big part of the fact that people believe this is that they were taught ever since we were young that that is the cycle of life. You work hard to earn money to buy things. You keep on repeating this until you are dead. We were all taught through TV and the people around us that this is the way of life and the only way that you should exist. But the problem is that all of what we have been taught is a complete lie. We can't find happiness by buying things and that is a fact. We must understand this and never fail to realise that true happiness is found by connecting with those people that we love and by having experiences that we will cherish.

What really makes us happy is doing things that will stick with us. That means that we should really focus on trying to have new experiences and connect with the people that we love as best as we can. We should focus all of our energies on the things that really make us happy and not waste our energy on buying stuff that does not matter.

To thy self be true

Got to reading about each owns personal journey.  We all got a true self with a purpose but heck how many of us even know it.  I realize that after spending 40+ hours at a mind numbing job, most days I don't even know my name let alone who the heck this stranger is, my true self.
Seems we all got a purpose here.  Some here to love, some to build, some to destroy,  and some here to shop.  Everyone got a purpose but in order to survive in life sometimes we wind up doing things that is miles away from who we really are.  We may wake up one day and feel lost...got yourself a map???

Now that winters coming and there seems to be a lot of time for sitting around when its cold it might be the right time to wonder if your driving on the right side of the road so to speak.  Maybe you need to be on a train heading to Peoria than a car going to Austin...who knows.

As for me I think it will come to me it always does.  I just have to sit back and let it happen.

Back 2 Good

Got that song in my head and it got me feeling like I'm right back where I started.  Don't know what matchbox 20 meant for the song to be but for me its about getting back to the begining ofthings.  that is where I feel I am at today.
For its been a long learning experience with this photo stuff.  In the beginning you don't know nothing so you think everyone that knows something is right even if all they know is a litle bit or just some shit that someone who don't know shit told them but you don't know anybetter and all you can do is nod and take it as gospel.

Two and half years later I'm not new to this anymore and I know a bit more than I did and you realize that nothing is ever as good as it was in the beginning.  It all seems great in the beginning, a new job, a new love, a new hobby, a new career, gosh there is nothing but excitement dripping down from you forehead when its new.  You got that love for it, you feel it in your bones and you got the fire in your heart.  Gosh its good in the beginning ain't it.  Its fun too cause you get to try it all for the first time like a first kiss and getting to second base...

Eventually it can get bogged down as you crawl your way through the tunnel you don't remember where you begin, where you going, or even why you started in the first place...but if your lucky and you stop after a while you justmight wake up where you first started only this time you know something and if you let yourself enjoy it your realize you gone back 2 good.

I met this fella not to long ago who taught me that I sure don't know how to appreciate what I got and what's going.  We was working at this beauty pageant and the fella got a chance to take pictures with all the beauty queens.  It was a chance of lifetime.  From that point on I told myself that work might be work but sometimes you have know where you and appreciate and take advantage of the moment for while and get you picture made with a beautiful girl.
Maybe that's all life is about anyway.

Finally got to it's...

I alwasy got a bunch of irons in the fire or pies in the oven which ever you like and wanna use...and it sure don't give me much time to get to any of them let alone finish them.

I have been wanting to back up all my photo from my hard drive onto DVD and i kept reading website after website about backingit all up cause if the hard drive goes then its all gone.  All those pictures, memories, experiences all down the tubes.
So I finally got to it.  It took 28 DVD's to copy them all.  It was a tedious task but like I said I finally got to it.
I look around the house and see all these things that needed to be gotten to and start doing them...I need to walk on the treadmill for twenty minutes check, I need to wash my dishes that have been in the sink for a few days, check, I need to clean the litter box, wash my clothes, put away my jacket and dress clothes that have been sitting around for over a month just waiting to be hung.  Man I let it all slip by.  i just gots too much to do don't you see.
Sometimes a person can get way ahead of themselves with doing this and that before its time.  Like I tell you I got mold in my bedroom and I've been living in my living room for over a few months now and it was goin to cost me 1300 dollars to get all the drywall replaced and I knew I can't afford.  So the other day the lady who runs the place tells me the insurance is going to pay for it.  Geesh.  I guess sometimes you just got to wait for things to get done as there is alwasy a time for them to be done and if you try to do it before its time you just going to wind up eating a raw pie.

So I'm a learning to wait till things really need me like when the smell of litter box finally gets so you'd rather sniff your armpit, or when they ain't any dishes paper towels left to eat on and the there aint no room on the counter to even lay down a butter knife.  Yeah that is when its time, the right time.  Cause you know sooner or later, and most times later than sooner, it all gets done one way or another.

It's oh, so quiet...

The year is quickly coming to and and starting from october 31 on to new years there is just one celebrating after another.  The fall season has Halloween and Food and Wine Festivals and Octoberfests which slowly lead into Thanksgiving and then Xmas and the loudest day of them all New Years.   Everywhere its busy busy and noisy noisy to the point where a person can't think straight, that person is me.

So after finally dragging my old laptop from out of the garbage can I attempted to fix it one more time and bingo it is alive again like the phoenix running win98...an oldie but goodie.

I'm here in my house alone, the radio is off, the internet is off, the television is off.  Its like the night before Xmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.  Well I'm enjoying the stillness and silence as for the last month i've been crowded by thousands of poeple at work that I really need to just be in solitary confinement for a while.

It feels good to be able to hear my thoughts again.

Looking California and feeling Minnesota

"looking california" means everything may seem bright, warm & happy on the outside & "feeling Minnesota" means feeling down & depressed on the inside. basically someone put up a front that they're OK, but they are really in distress...

"looking California and feeling Minnesota" goes, I remember listening to an interview where the band said it meant, "looking like sh*t and feeling like sh*t."

Surrender to the Scorpio Moon

Scorpio Birthday CupcakesImage by abakedcreation via Flickr
Having been on a learning astrological jouney this year as each month now I have tried to learn the energy of the sign the sun has been in.  Currently we are in Scorpio which deals with the big stuff in our lives like taxes, death, sex, rebirth, and transformation.

It seems Scorpio is a very passionate sign but the biggest message I am getting after reading so many blogs about Scorpio is learning to go with the flow.

Scorpio is a water sign and like his elemental compatriots (Cancer & Pisces) the key is ‘flow”. Stagnant water creates nothing but problems . Look to nature and you will see larvae and murk in sluggish ponds. Interestingly, of the three water signs, Scorpio more than the other two knows in his soul that whenever he gives up control and lets go—he is rewarded.

Now I have been actually conteplating this these last few days of simply just surrendering and letting go as there as been very little activity in my life.  I have spent the last two weeks simply devouring old episodes of Law and Order SVU which is a fantastic show right up there with CSI.
Having feeling a little guilty for not pushing myself to do something I now know that this is what i'm suppose to be doing.  Just hang loose and stop all this getting somewhere stuff and just let life happen the way it's suppoe to happen.
Like the other day I was walking out of work and I ran into someone who I usually don't have an encounter with.  Life has many opportunities like this if we just let them happen and go with the flow.  Actually it is an interesting story.  I was walking out of work and there is guy I hate talking to because he is always bitching about something. So I sat down and waited about a minute to let him walk ahead of me.  If I had not done this I would not have run into the other person.

There have been many instances like this when I simply let go of trying to do something or get somewhere that life opens up and steers me into the right direction like fixing my computer the other day.  I was all set on buying a new laptop but there was just something that would not let me hit the buy button on overstock.  I pulled out my old laptop and reloaded windows and now its working good as new.  Just saved myself some money and kept me from buying something that I didn't need.

But patience is hard sometimes as there can be a lot of waiting for things to happen as Top Petty said the waiting is the hardest part.

New Moon in Scorpio....rising up from the ashes

Scorpio A1Image via WikipediaThis is a wonderful moon for self-healing, as Scorpio seeks deep truth and is not afraid to explore taboos in order to transform. Imagine Scorpio in the most evolved sense as a phoenix and this will show you the potential of this energy if you use it wisely. You have the opportunity to go up in flames and rise again from the ashes.

It’s not easy and it is a little scary to do this work, but the rewards are a transformation in your life for the better. It requires honesty and deep seeking, but Scorpio brings with it a great power for you to utilise. You have at your disposal the chance for some metaphysical alchemy: to transmute the metaphorical lead of impure or selfish desires into the gold of purified desire.
Transformation of person's life is hard as most things like to stay the same even if their situation is bad or can be made better by change.  It's the law of resitance.
