The Joker was a sly and every person in town knew he could not be trusted.  When the Joker said hello people wondered what did he mean by that.  When the Joker smiled people wondered if they were about to be robbed or part of something bad.  Where ever the Joker went smiles turned to frowns and warm hearts became cold sholders.
